US Symbols

This week in Social Studies we have been talking about US symbols. The ones we focused on were. The Statue of Liberty, The Bald Eagle, The Liberty Bell, The American Flag and National Anthem, and Uncle Sam. As we go over each symbol, we have been making pages of a NON FICTION book. (We have been working on fiction and non fiction features in language Arts). Our books have a title and even a table of contents. The table of contents was filled out all by theirselves! 

Ask your kiddos about these symbols. They should be able to give you a few facts about each of them.
