There was quite the confusion to day about the Eclipse that is suppose to happen Tuesday morning. It reminded me of a game of telephone where the message gets passed from one person to the next, and becomes majorly distorted. By the end of the day, some of the kids were saying they didn't want to come to school tomorrow because it was "going to be really cold an pitch black, and we're all gonna die" an also "the sun was gonna explode". So I told them it was only cold because of a cold front, and I explained what happens between the moon and the sun when we do see an eclipse.
I also let them know I would post a link to more information about the eclipse. So below is the link. There is also a picture of what the moon will look like when the eclipse takes place.
Phew! Glad I cleared that up....
