This week we focused on Nouns. A noun is a person, place or thing. This is a review from first grade, and the kids did very well. Each student had the opportunity to add a person, place and a thing to my friend Nicky! After adding nouns to Nicky, we also found nouns in our writing.
Writing will have great emphasis this year. I strive to make each student a great author while also instilling a love for the "task" as well. These small mini lessons on grammar will be one key to making your child a better writer.
