Today we got to eat cookies!!!! Lessons are always more fun with food. Each student was given 4 cookies, and they were to break them apart to depict the eight different phases of the moon. Getting the icing just right was a challenge, but they did it! I told them I wouldn't let them eat their cookies till they showed me each phase appropriately. Unfortunately, the icing was hard to work with for some, and it ended up in their mouth instead of as a moon phase! Here's one of the better depictions of the phases.
