Name Puzzles

On Friday, I introduced the class to name puzzles.  Name puzzles are a great way for each child to recognize and learn the letters in their names.  I made a special puzzle for each and every students.  Here are some students working on their name puzzles.

You can make a name puzzle for your child to practice with at home.  Just make two identical name strips.  Cut only one of the strips into individual letters.  VIOLA!  That's all it is.  When your child is comfortable with putting their name together, take away the strip with their full name and see if they can still do it!  If they can still do it, that means its time to move to writing their name.
