At this point, your child should know what a noun, verb, and adjective is.  We went further into nouns and talked about common nouns and proper nouns. Next week we will be going over adverbs. By next Friday, we will be tested on all these things. 

In social studies we continue to talk about directionality (north, south, east, west). We will also be continuing our study on the world map (continents and oceans). The kids will be tested on all seven continents and four oceans. I taught them a bonus ocean (southern ocean) and I will give then extra credit if they can remember it. 

I have high expectations for the students and their performance on these upcoming test. We have been working very hard these past fee weeks, and I want that to show through their performance on these test.
