Finding Communities with Technology

Kids these days are fascinated by technology. This is one of the very reasons I get so excited to use it. Last week when we talked about rural suburban and urban communities, we used the iPad an computer to walk down  the street in the middle of Time Square, we looked for or very own suburban neighborhoods, and even found some rural areas in the process.

One thing I did find out when doing this lesson was that only about half the students knew their physical addresses. This may be something you want to teach them. You never know when they may need it.
