One thing the student have been learning since pre-k is sentence structure. By second grade, your child should be able to construct a sentence that has a capital letter, spaces between words, ending punctuation, and is a complete thought. We continue to work on this skill in all areas of our day. We practice answering questions verbally as a complete thought, we construct meaningful stories full of wonderfully written and detailed sentences, we even write complete sentences when problem solving in math. Does you child write a satisfactory sentence?
